Report Mobile workshop - November 15th
On November 15th, EoZen organized, in cooperation with IT One, a unique mobility event.
During this event, the audience has been informed through two keynotes and three workshop sessions about a company's different mobile solutions.
The first keynote introduced the reasons for mobility’s need among companies and the added business value these kinds of solutions offer. As each company manages more and more data and staffs need information every day, the solutions may be useful for different reasons to anyone in a company - applications enable to simplify the data access and entry. Account managers and technicians have access to customer files anywhere and are able to modify them any time. They have also the possibility to use their tablets or smart phones to empower their commercial value towards potentials and clients. Having a competitive advantage, clients appreciate the interactivity of the applications very much, such as a mobile catalogues and order tools. All corporate employees can use the applications available: account managers during their client visits, technicians when they install or manage processes, logistics to manage stocks, financial service to simplify their approval processes…

To set up an appropriate application, it is necessary to identify the conditions for use: who will use it, what kind of support will be used (tablet, phone ...), what’s the functionality, how the user will use the application, is the application for internal and/or external use, is it a European or a worldwide application, is security important ...
All these elements will influence the application’s development; in fact, if the will be used in Asia, developers should adapt to the different supports used in Japan and in Chine.
EoZen helps companies to define their platform and guides them towards their mobile strategy through two approaches: prototype approach, which consists of the realization of a small application or a long term approach, consisting of the creation of a platform with different applications (large or target group). There are also two types of existing architectures: an existing corporate databank (crm, erp, reporting) or a complete new architecture based on the data life cycle.
After these keynote introductions, the audience has been separated into three groups to participate to the different presentations based on detailed topics of Contract Management, Product Catalogue, Dashbording and Adobe Flex. These small committees enabled an improved interaction between the participants and speakers to respond to anyone’s questions.
Finally, the audience gathered for a closing keynote where the speaker focused on the importance of ergonomics and design of applications in order to have a structured and visible application with a performing navigation.
